Someone pound the OHSHIT button in Chi-town. TSN is reporting that due to a clerical fuck-up of the highest magnitude, some of the Chicago Blackhawks' restricted free agents may not have been tendered a qualifying offer in the proper fashion/time frame. What this means is that these players could be ruled unrestricted free agents according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.How the fuck is this even possible?! Even people that have sold things on Ebay know how much regular mail can bugger things up.
The NHL has concluded its investigation and will be passing it along to the NHLPA, who will no doubt push to have these players earning as much money as they can possibly make. Well, tickle my tits till Tuesday.
